Work Woes!
So today I got an email from my manager for a mandatory meeting. What I suspected was that he was going to give me my 60 day notice along with 35 other co-workers. So much speculation in the air. All I could do at work was think about what I am going to do once I finally get laid off. One guy, that annoys the heck out of me, all he could do was be pissed and bitch about things. All i said to him was “we knew it was coming, so why are you mad again?”
The reason for the lay off is the site I work at is moving to San Antonio, TX. So its either I go there with them, try and transfer within, or look for a new job. Coming from Cali I don’t know how I would adjust out there. I have a friend that moved from K-Town to San Antonio and she can’t wait to move back to Cali.
Finally its 12:00, its time for the meeting. As I look around before heading to the conference room I see my manager, along with other supervisors and managers, and the HR lady. My suspicions were right. When I got to the conference room it was already filled with people that weren’t going to make the move out to Texas. We got a little thank you speech about our hard work throughout the transistion, keep it up till your last day, etc. After that they went over our severance package and then let us go home early so that we can cry about losing our jobs.
On my way home I was thinking about the things I might want to do once I get laid off. I Mayhaps take a trip out to Japan to visit Bob, go snowboarding in Aspen and Whistler, go to Vietnam with Vi and Anh, road trip up to SF with Anna, or just veg out for a bit. The possibilities are endless. I did however apply to 2 positions within WAMU. I don’t know how competitive its going to be to get that position, but it doesn’t hurt to apply.
Oh well is 2008, this year is going to be filled with big things to come. Anna is going to pharmacy school, so who knows where we will end up. I running 3 different runs this year: Surf City USA 5k in Huntington Beach, the Brea 8k, and the World Famous Mudrun at Camp Pendleton 10k. Hopefully I can lose all the weight that I have been saying that I would for the past 2 years. Theres about 4 weddings that I going to this year. Hopefully soon Anna can start planning for ours. hehe. And who knows, maybe I’ll get my 3rd stripe for hapkido.
Stay tuned…LBCfoLife!!
New Year’s 2008
Me and Anna welcomed the new year with dinner at the Orange Mining Company with my sister and her family. It was very nice hanging out with them and for once its a change from what I would normally do for new years. After dinner we went to Downtown Disney to hopefully watch some fireworks, which didn’t happen because of the wind.
I have a good feeling about 2008. Big changes are going to happen. Let the good times roll. LBCfoLife!!

Snow Boarding BayBay
It’s finally come, the snow has finally come. I have been waiting forever for the snow season to make an appearance here in good ol California. Jimmy and I headed up to Snow Summit to check it out since we both haven’t really boarded there. It took me a little bit to get my snow legs back, but after one run I was good to go. Man does it feel good. Hopefully this season I will get the chance to make it out to Mammoth, Colorado, and mayhaps Whistler.
My goal for this season is to surpass Bobbio. So watch out Bitch!!

Tribute
Tribute to the LBC….
What is boba?
This post is a tribute to my Little Bean brothers in Japan and Afghanistan
I saw this on Melrose. Best illustration/description of boba I have seen.

For the best boba you must go to Little Bean

Its College Football
This is the second football game I have gone to so far this year. UCB vs UCLA. Of course I am on the Cal side since my babe is an alumni there. So I must support the cause. We came in a pack of 10 to come watch the Golden Bears beat the baby bruins, but unfortunately the bruins beat us. Oh well…next time. It was loads of fun up until I got heat exhaustion and had to retreat to my car to nap. I enjoyed seeing Anna and Natasha all dressed up for the game. My baby looked soo cute. John and Natasha came down all the way from Berkeley to come watch the game with us. As always great seeing them.
Life isn’t quite as boring as some may perceive it to be. I had a great time because I got to spend time with my fiance, her friends, and my friends. Can’t we all just get along.
Always keep hydrated when out in the sun for a long period of time. Lesson learned.

Today LA
Today was a good day…the Ngo’s and the Chau’s ventured away from the oh so familiar OC to dangerous LA where we walked around Melrose and ate at Pink’s.

Look at who I bumped into….2 of Hef’s gfs..muahahah
Good times at Robata Shin Sen Gumi
So me and the wifey, Anna, went to celebrate another month conquered at Robata Shin Sen Gumi (yakitori). It is our favorite place to get meat on a stick. Food there is great, service is great, atmosphere is great, and of course the company is the always the best. It was perfect just spending time with Anna. Our schedules usually only allow us to spend a couple hours, at most, a day. Me with work, gym, and hapkido. Anna with work and school. But I do cherish the time we do get to hang out.
I just got a crazy thought…if we do move away from OC where are we going to eat!?!?! Looks like I need to go on a food quest.
Babe, next month you can pick a place to take me out. ahaha

Top of the World
What a great day to go riding. We all met up at Alex’s in the morning to do some riding. It was Alex, Jack, Will, and myself. Took PCH from Newport Beach to Laguna Beach to check out Top of the World. We had to cut the ride short due to Jack needing to take a dump. He was too scared to go in a public restroom so we all decided to head home.
