Nintendo Word Play

Happy New Years! And a Happy New Design for everyone to enjoy, thanks to the new and upgraded Wordpress and Michael Tyson (if that’s your real name) for creating the “elegant-grunge” theme.

With New Years, comes new resolutions and this year I’ll be embracing my inner nerd a lot more, attempting to learn Objective-C and iPhone App making, Cascading Style Sheets and basic web design and I’ll be launching a new site. Also, I’ll be competing in my first boxing exhibition tournament as a light-weight… good luck to me and good luck to everyone on their New Year of hopes and fortunes, good luck to America and its economy; I wish you a speedy recover so that I can come home to a nice job.

Happy New Years!

I upgraded Wordpress to 2.0 and loving the new, cleaner interface. Took the safe way of upgrading so I’ll have to repost the comments manually. The old directory will no longer be valid in a few months so start going to this web address. Thank you for your patience and support. Oh and I swear I’ll start writing more now that my life has started to slow down again.

Been getting hit hard with comment spam so if your comments, and I mean all the hundreds of comments that my readers leave me, don’t pop up immediately its because I have to filter them out now for casino gambling, viagra, and student loan magnetic poem art.

I’m still in the process of organizing them so you can check some of the sets that I’ve created already or just look through all three thousand or so. Enjoy.

Also, the right column is growing. There’s the calendar that I loving put in my blog for my adoring public. There’s all the great categories and monthly archives that are now in dropdown menu format. Also, if you haven’t noticed the random blog, click on it for some time traveling adventures back into the life of an average Vietnamese boy. And the random Flickr pictures you can see. Enjoy kids.

My website has finally made the transistion from Blogger.com to Wordpress. Content has changed, its for the most part the same website that you have grown to love or loath, just with a new window dressing and the ability to receive my post by RSS or Atom feed. I’m making the move to give myself more freedom in how my website looks and switching to an open source PHP, self-hosted publication method. Sorry to everyone who has ever posted a comment to my website, I could not carry that over from the last site. Feel free to repost your comments if you like. And if any of you are interested in self-hosting your own blogging sites, look into Wordpress 1.5. Its free and easy to setup on your server. Just 5 minutes and you’re up and running. Plus you get the satisfaction of being untethered and independent of snooping web host. More changes are coming so stay connected. I’m out.

Gallery

Put up a new gallery and updated the older ones. All the fanciness of XML at your disposal. But it does require a quick connection. In the future I will be putting up more galleries as they come (since I’ve been smitten by my new camera, the Canon SD300).
